O'Shay Jordan Proves the Captain's Role

O'Shay 'Jackpot' Jordan (6-3) stepped into the Black Cup cage in Korea on August 29 as Team USA's fourth man — and its captain. With the U.S. side trailing Japan 3-0 and facing elimination on the next loss, Jordan was matched against Takaaki Oban (11-10-2) in a do-or-die captains' bout.
He stayed composed through the early exchanges, then at the 3:00 mark of round one unleashed a thunderous high kick that put Oban away instantly. The knockout reignited Team USA's hopes and proved why he wears the captain's armband.
In his post-fight interview, Jordan spoke proudly of his Korean heritage and credited taekwondo as the foundation of his kicking game — a moment that resonated loudly with the Korean crowd. It was the third high-kick finish of his career.
With the win, he keeps his spot at #4 in the Black Combat heavyweight rankings, and attention is now turning to whether he will be the one to challenge for the vacant Black Cup heavyweight title.
